Fresh from enduring Africa Cup of Nations heartbreak, the ex-Roma man has returned to Merseyside in the same rich vein of form he was in when he left for Cameroon.
The 29-year-old calmly slotted two penalties past Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier on Wednesday, and was on hand to assist fellow African Joel Matip to make sure the Reds came away from Anfield with the victory and cut Manchester City's lead at the top of the table to a mere three points.
As a result of his efforts, Salah extended his lead as the Premier League's top scorer this season with 19 goals, and also joined his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold as the English top flight's most prolific provider with 10 assists.
His contributions against Leeds also put him at the top of the list of African players with the most goal involvements in Premier League history, with 160, seeing him eclipse previous holder of that record, Chelsea and Ivory Coast icon Didier Drogba.
Perhaps more impressively, the Egypt captain did it in 72 fewer games than the Stamford Bridge legend.
