Manchester City have reportedly named their price of one of their in-demand stars, who is believed to be a top target for Barcelona.

During the 2022/23 campaign, the Citizens sent Portugal international Joao Cancelo away on loan to Bayern Munich following a breakdown in relationship between him and Pep Guardiola, and it does not seem to have got any better, with the Spaniard understood to be open to selling the 29-year-old in this window.
Even after a lacklustre spell in Bavaria, there is strong interest in the attacking fullback's services, including from the Blaugrana. Arsenal are also believed to be keen on landing the 44-capped Portuguese's signature, but it seems it is Barca who retain the most interest.
According to Sport, the Premier League giants want close to €50 million (R976 million) for Cancelo's services but that figure has been deemed too high by the Catalans.
It is claimed the Citizens would prefer a permanent departure but if a loan were to take place, then it would have to be for a sizeable fee, something the Spanish publication reports is also unachievable for the LALIGA champions.
There is, however, the possibility that the ex-Benfica and Inter Milan man could stay at the Etihad Stadium, especially given his most recent pre-season performance against Yokohama Marinos, in which he assisted in their 5-3 victory.

Barca are said to remain hopeful of standing a chance of signing him later in the window if a suitable offer does not come in for him in the meantime.
