Jose Mourinho Threatened To Storm Out Of Post-Match Media Conference

Jose Mourinho Threatened To Storm Out Of Post-Match Media Conference

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has continued his turbulent relationship with the press in recent weeks, and was put into a situation where he threatened to storm out of his post-match conference following their 1-0 win over Everton on Wednesday.

Mourinho told reporters that he would leave the press conference if he was asked more questions on Branislav Ivanovic's apparent head-butt.

The Portuguese manager was fined £25,000 last month for claiming that there was a campaign against his Chelsea team, and has started to avoid controversial topics by saying he would walk out if there were more questions on his Serbian defender's actions.

"I'm concerned with my reaction, because one more question I leave," he said at his post-match press conference, according to Sky Sports.

"And after that you are not happy. The next question for that story I have to go."

Mourinho's side scored at the death to beat Everton 1-0 and the Chelsea manager suggested that the dramatic late winner is what champions are made of.

"I don't remember a team being champions without a couple of victories in the last minute," he added.

"Every time I won a league title we had a couple of matches we won in the last minute. It was the first time this season. So, I'm happy with the points."

The Blues retained their seven-point lead at the summit of the Premier League table, with arguably their strongest rivals, Manchester City, also winning their midweek fixture.

With just 13 games to go, Mourinho's team have only lost two of their 25 league games this season, and will look to continue their winning ways in the Champions League when they play PSG next week Tuesday.
