Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has commented on Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini's role at the Red Devils this season.

The midfielder started the Community Shield encounter against Leicester City last week, and was also named in the starting line-up against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
Fellaini was a reliable figure in United's midfield in both fixtures, and Mourinho has suggested that the Belgian could be an important player for the side this season.
"With Fellaini, I always have the feeling that he was not loved by the general Red people," he told MUTV.
"But if he plays like he's playing now, they have to love him because he's been so important for us."
The player has not quite had the backing of the club's fans since David Moyes signed him in 2013, but with his recent displays, it seems clear Mourinho sees the former Everton star as part of his plans.

Fellaini has made 94 appearances for United since joining, scoring 13 goals and assisting eight further strikes.
