Former Mamelodi Sundowns manager Hristo Stoichkov has labelled Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal as "garbage".
'Ronaldo Is At The End Of His Career'
The Bulgarian, who seemingly cannot stand Van Gaal, played under him at Barcelona, before leaving the club for CSKA Sofia in 1998.
Stoichkov admitted that he has no time for the Dutchman and blames him for his brief second spell at Barcelona in the 90's.
"I have no respect for him, he's garbage," he told Sport Sunday.
"One day, when I was injured and I was with my wife at the Nou Camp, he went up to her and asked 'how it was possible that she married someone like me?'.
"It was the fault of Van Gaal that I moved on to CSKA Sofia."
The former Bulgaria striker had a different stance on Van Gaal's assistant at the time, Jose Mourinho.
"(I) do not think that Mourinho was a simple interpreter or assistant. He was already a coach, but he never thought he was worth more than (Bobby) Robson," he added.
"Mourinho understood everything. He knew everything about our team, and our opponents."
Stoichkov made over 150 appearances for Barcelona in his two spells at the club and scored 85 goals along the way.
