The former Arsenal striker has rejected the opportunity to become the latest France women's national team head coach, according to French Football Federation committee member and Olympique Lyonnais chairman Jean-Michel Aulas.
The French executive told Le Figaro: "I personally asked [Henry] the question, but the response was not positive.
"He was obviously very flattered that he was asked. We did it because we were told he might be interested. But it will not be Thierry Henry. I think he is moving on to other projects."
According to ESPN, the 45-year-old Frenchman is interested in the United States Men's National Team head coaching position, which has been vacant ever since the expiry of Gregg Berhalter's contract after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
After his stint in Barcelona, Henry joined New York Red Bulls in the Major League Soccer and stated earlier this year that he was interested in the post.

"Do I know the players? Yeah, I do know the players. Do I know the league? Yeah, I do know the league," Henry, who coached CF Montreal during the 2020 season, told CBS.
"Would I want to be a manager at any level? Yes, of course. That is one of the things that I would like to do."
The United States of American, alongside Mexico and Canada, are hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
