"There is so much! He demands a lot in training," Haaland told The Telegraph.
"When I spoke with him before I signed here he said 'I don't care what you do, do whatever you want. But when you have me on the (training) pitch you have to be focused. If not, I will smash you!'"
Haaland also joked about beating Alan Shearer's all-time scoring record in the Premier League with 260 goals.
"How long is my contract?' the Norwegian said when asked about catching Shearer. "
"Three years and 10 months [left]? So, there is still time to do it, no?'
"That's something you can't think of. You have to think of the next game, the season and then these things come after a while.
"But if I will still be 15 years longer in England then why not? We will see."
