Gareth Bale Throws More Jabs At Jose Mourinho?

Tottenham Hotspur superstar Gareth Bale seems to have thrown more jabs at the recently-sacked Jose Mourinho following his emphatic hat-trick in the Premier League on the weekend.

The Welshman struck three times in Spurs' 4-0 league win over Sheffield United on Sunday night, a week after stating that the Lilywhites are a team that should be playing more attacking football.

Those comments came after Mourinho was sacked by chairman Daniel Levy following a run of poor results and performances, leading to speculation that not everybody at Spurs was happy under the Portuguese tactician.

After his hat-trick against Sheffield United, Bale suggested that his team's convincing display was down to them playing further up the pitch than previously.

"It's the fact that we're more on the front foot, we're closer to the goal and you're able to score more. We're playing football the Tottenham way," he told Sky Sports.

"I feel good, as I've said before I just needed to play games, to get a run of games and I'm doing that now.

"I'm happy, and when I'm happy I normally play well. It was a great performance from the first whistle.

"I feel like we were on the front foot and we pressed well, got hold of the ball, played some good football. It's always nice to get another (hat-trick) ball.

"You have to take your chances when they come, and I had a few tonight. Winning always makes everyone happy, it gives a winning mentality to the dressing room. That's all we can do."

Bale has now scored 14 goals and assisted a further three strikes in 30 appearances for Spurs this season.
