English Premier League
Result: Swansea City 2-0 Leicester City
Date: 12 February 2017
Venue: Liberty City Stadium
Premier League champions, Leicester City suffered their fifth straight defeat after going down 2-0 to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
The Swans controlled proceedings from the onset but were unable to carve out a clear-cut opening in the opening 20 minutes.
The home side upped the tempo and eventually took the lead on 36 minutes when Alfie Mawson found the back of the net with a fine volley from 12-yards out.
Swansea doubled their lead on the stroke of halftime as Gylfi Sigurddson played in Marten Olsson, who rifled the ball home at Kasper Schmeichel's near post.
Leicester, meanwhile, provided no threat in the opposition's territory as the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy struggled to make an impact.
The Foxes should have opened the scoring in the 62nd minute, as Mahrez played in Islam Slimani, but the Algerian striker was thwarted by Lukasz Fabianski.
Paul Clement opted for a change after 71 minutes as Ghana star, Jordan Ayew made his Swansea debut, replacing Fernando Llorente.
Claudio Ranieri's charges failed to bypass the Swans defence and have now failed to score any of the league game this year.
Swansea City have now move four points clear of the relegation zone, while Leicester only sit one point above the bottom three.
