Former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck has revealed why he celebrated his goal against his former club on Sunday, when Arsenal swept aside the Red Devils 2-0 at the Emirates.
Wenger's Arsenal Gun Down Mou's Man Utd
The 26-year-old, who is an Old Trafford youth product, headed in the London side's second goal after a neat cross from teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Welbeck has since explained why he did not follow the general trend of not celebrating against one's former club.
"I grew up there and it's a special place in my life, but once we get on that pitch it's just business at the end of the day, it's for the team," he told Sky Sports.
"When you score, you've got to be happy. It's only normal."
The England international also touched on the importance of his team's victory over United, and admitted that the squad has been disappointed with their inconsistent form this season.
"It was really important for us to get the victory, with our position in the table," Welbeck added.
"We need to be further up there – it's something that we're all disappointed about.
"But to get the victory and to hopefully have a good end to the season, it's a good start."

The victory means Arsenal stay in sixth place in the Premier League table, but a win over Southampton on Wednesday night will see them leapfrog Mourinho's men.
