According to the Daily Mirror, Spain international Marc Cucurella has become disillusioned with his time at Stamford Bridge and wants to leave the club in the January window.
The 25-year-old has endured an underwhelming spell since completing his €65 million (R1.3 billion) move from Brighton Hove Albion in August 2022, having failed to secure a regular spot in the team's strongest starting XI.
In what was deemed to be an already unstable environment in the English capital, the La Masia alumni struggled to establish himself in the side, with Chelsea fans even going as far as booing the wing-back in some matches.
It looked as though the former Barcelona man was destined for a move to Manchester United in the final days of the latest transfer window, but that proposed deal fell through as the Red Devils opted to sign Cucurella's compatriot Sergio Reguilon instead.
The same report claims that the ex-Getafe man recently sat down with Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino to express his desire to leave, with the Argentine said to not be opposed to his exit.

Cucurella very much appears to be on the periphery of Pochettino's plans, with the defender yet to make an appearance in the league so far in this campaign, which is perhaps the reason the attacking fullback has requested an exit from the club.
