Former Real Madrid superstar Mesut Ozil, who was not even registered for Arsenal's Premier League squad this season, has revealed which two countries he wants to play in before he hangs up his boots.
It has been a difficult 2021/22 campaign for the 2014 FIFA World Cup winner, who has not played a single match across all competitions after being left out of the Gunners' EPL and UEFA Europa League sides.
Rumours in recent days have suggested he could be off to Fenerbahce this January, but he has confirmed his interest in taking his career to the Turkish giants in a QA on Twitter, though he added he would also be open to a move to the MLS.
The 32-year-old, who arrived in England in 2013, was also asked whether he would continue playing if he left Arsenal.
"I definitely will," he said when asked if he would play on after leaving Arsenal.
"There are two countries I want to play football in before I retire: Turkey and USA.
"If I went to Turkey, I could only go to Fenerbahce."
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta recently claimed there has not been any progress made in Ozil's potential exit, with there still being a possibility that he leaves only at the end of the season.
