One Brazilian who got the Premier League talking was former Real Madrid attacker Robinho, who joined the club in 2008. His arrival was arguably the start of the club's golden era, but he lasted only 18 months at the club before being sold to Serie A giants AC Milan.
Elano was arguably one other more successful Brazilians the club has had, and only cost the Etihad side £8 million (R134 million). The playmaker arrived from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk and ended up making 84 appearances before moving on.
The Citizens made another great buy from Shakhtar Donetsk in recent years when they bought defensive midfielder Fernandinho back in 2013. The 32-year-old has made 183 appearances since, scoring 17 goals.
City recently brought in another Brazilian, former Benfica goalkeeper Ederson. The 23-year-old is expected to battle with Chile international Claudio Bravo for the No. 1 spot next season.
Other Brazilians City have signed over the years include Maicon, Sylvinho, Jo, Glauber, Geovanni, Fernando and Gabriel Jesus.
