Reports: Bayern Munich Reserve Shirt Number For Leroy Sane

With Leroy Sane heavily tipped to leave Manchester City for Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga outfit have already chosen a number for the star winger.

Various reports in Germany claim that the Germany international is set to join the Bundesliga champions next season.

According to the Mirror, Bayern are confident of getting the deal done and have already reserved the No.10 shirt which is currently being worn by Philippe Coutinho.

The number is supposed to be vacated at the end of the season as the Bavarians are reportedly not going to make Coutinho's loan move a permanent one next campaign.

Sane will inherit the shirt worn for a 10 years by club legends Arjen Robben, Roy Makaay and Lothar Matthäus.

The 24-year-old now only has one year remaining on his current deal and there has been no indication that the winger will sign a new one, which could see the club cash in on Sane rather than lose him for free.

Sane has barely played football in the 2019/2020 season after suffering an injury in the Community Shield against Liverpool, although he did return for the U23 side in March.
