On Wednesday evening, news broke that the two wingers were involved in a physical altercation after Bayern's 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week.
According to Bild, the pair had an on-field disagreement after Sane was angered by a run the Senegalese made in the 83rd minute, and the argument reportedly spilled over into the dressing room.
Enraged by how the Germany international had addressed him, the reigning CAF African Men's Player of the Year was said to have struck his teammate in the face, causing the former City forward to bleed and have a swollen lip.
Sky Sports has since reported that a number of punishments are possible for the 31-year-old forward at the Allianz Arena, with the Bayern hierarchy expected to react to the situation.
The same report claims that Die Roten are considering several potential consequences, from fining the west African to suspending him and even selling him in the next transfer window.

Mane's teammates were reportedly shocked by his actions, and have been critical of the former Liverpool and Southampton man, with some expecting him to no longer have a future with the record German champions.
It is believed the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League winner will apologise to his teammates at a training session on Thursday afternoon.
