On Wednesday, it was reported by Sky Sports that the Borussia Dortmund winger had agreed all terms with the Red Devils over a move.
It is understood, however, that United still need to reach an agreement over a transfer fee with the Bundesliga side, with BVB previously insisting the 20-year-old would not be going anywhere in this window.
Now, it looks increasingly likely that a deal could be done ahead of the 2020/21 season, with the player set to earn £250 000 (R5.3 million) a week at United, according to the Daily Star.
This weekly wage would make Sancho the Manchester club's third-highest earner behind midfielder Paul Pogba and goalkeeper David de Gea, and would see the former Manchester City youth star earn more than both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
