Bayern Sack CEO & Director During Title Celebrations

While the Bayern Munich players were celebrating the Bundesliga title, the club sacked their CEO and Sporting Director an hour after the final game of the season.

The Bavarians clinched an 11th successive Bundesliga title on the final day of the season, as they defeated Koln 2-1 while Borussia Dortmund drew 2-2 with Mainz.

However, there was no time to celebrate for CEO Oliver Khan and Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidžic who were both relieved of their duties shortly after the encounter.

"Oliver Kahn is no longer CEO of FC Bayern München AG. Hasan Salihamidžic will also be replaced as board member for sport," the club said.

"This was decided by the club's supervisory board. Kahn will be replaced by the current vice-chairman of the board Jan-Christian Dreesen. Salihamidžic's successor is still to be decided.

Khan later revealed he was not able to celebrate the Bundesliga title with the team on Saturday afternoon.

"That was the worst day of my life, not being able to party with the boys," Khan told Sky Germany.
