FIFPro has announced the 55 nominees for the 2019 FIFA World XI, and three Africans made the list.

More than 23 000 professional footballers from all over the world once again took part in the nomination process for this year's World XI.
Each of the players selected their personal World XI, with the most selected players per position making the 55-name shortlist, which was announced on Thursday.
As in every edition, FIFPro announced five goalkeepers nominees, 20 defenders, 15 midfielders and 15 forwards, with the eventual team lining up in a 4-3-3 formation.
For the first time since 2009, Premier League clubs have the most players on the 2019 World XI shortlist, which includes Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, as well as Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.

The 2019 FIFA FIFPro World XI will be announced during The Best FIFA Awards ceremony on 23 September in Milan, Italy.
This is the 15th edition of the World XI, having been established by FIFPro, the World Players' Union, in 2005, and later merged with FIFA in 2009.
