Former FC Barcelona winger Munir El Haddadi has finally been allowed to switch allegiance from Spain to an African nation.
Munir, as he known in football, has been denied the chance to represent Morroco after making a 15-minute cameo for Spain in a European Championship qualifier against in 2014.
The striker's previous two attempts to switch nationality made at Court of Arbitration for Sport were both unsuccessful.
However, BBC Sport have now reported that the 25-year-old has been granted his wish to play for the North African giants.
"The Single Judge of the Players' Status Committee has approved the following change of association: Munir El Haddadi, (to) Morocco (from) Spain," a Fifa spokesperson told BBC Sport Africa.
The Sevilla star is now available to make his Morocco debut next month as the they take on Mauritania and Burundi in 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
