Having fired Jesualdo Ferreira as their manager last week, Zamalek have now appointed the veteran tactician to a new role within the club.
Mourinho 'Wants' Spectacular Return To Former EPL Side
It seems the White Knights have given the Portuguese tactician a promotion after he was relieved of his duties as manager last week.
The reigning Egyptian Premier League champions fired Ferreira as their head coach after a 2-1 loss to El Mahalla made it five successive league matches without a win for the Cairo-based outfit, but days after his dismissal, the 14-time top-flight champions have now appointed the 76-year-old as technical consultant to their board of directors.
"Mortada Mansour has decided to appoint Jesualdo Ferreira as a technical consultant to the club's board," Zamalek said in a statement, as per KingFut.
During his second spell in charge of the five-time CAF Champions League winners, the veteran coach won 32 of the 52 matches he took charge of, drawing 11 and losing nine.
Ferreira was also able to help the club win the Egyptian Premier League and Egyptian Cup in the 11 months he was at the helm.
Osama Nabih has since taken over as manager on a temporary basis, helping Zamalek return to winning ways in the league, overcoming Future FC 2-1 this past weekend to move within two points of their third-placed opponents.

KingFut are, however, also reporting that Zamalek president Mortada Mansour is exploring the extraordinary possibility of reappointing Ferreira as head coach of the club.
