Le360Sport has linked the former Mamelodi Sundowns tactician with a move to Wydad Casablanca in Morocco amid the club's current struggles.
Current head coach Adil Ramzi is believed to be facing an uncertain future at the Red Castle, with the report suggesting that the 46-year-old is expected to be replaced.
The same source suggests that 59-year-old Mosimane is on their four-man managerial shortlist, along with Tunisian coach Faouzi Benzarti, Petro de Luanda's Alexandre Santos and Egyptian Tarek Mostafa.
Wydad currently find themselves ninth in Morocco's Botola Pro 1 league, although they do have three games in hand on several of their opponents.
Pressure, however, appears to be piling on Ramzi, who was only appointed as the Red Castle's manager in July this year.
The Dutch-Moroccan previously worked as an assistant coach at PSV Eindhoven between 2019 and 2022, before being appointed as Jong PSV's head coach for the 2022/23 campaign.
Since joining Wydad, Ramzi has taken charge of 17 matches, claiming 10 victories and losing on five occasions.
