The story
Amapiano sensation and dancer, Zee Nxumalo, is set to take the spotlight as the headliner for the opening ceremony of the highly anticipated 2024 Nedbank Cup Final.
This thrilling event will see three-time champions Orlando Pirates facing off against the current DStv Premiership champions and four-time NBK Cup winners Mamelodi Sundowns, all vying for glory at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, 1 June.
Joining her on stage will be the dynamic duo Shakes Les, promising an electrifying performance that will undoubtedly set the stage for an unforgettable atmosphere at what should be a humdinger of a Nedbank Cup Final.
Shakes Les alongside Zee Nxumalo are likely to perform their smash hit "Funk 55", with Zee also expected to croon tracks such as "Nguwe", new song "Thula Mabota" as well as hits; "Pholile" and "Siyajola".
This season, we have already seen Amapiano mega stars DJ Maphorisa, Daliwonga and Young Stunna perform at Loftus Versfeld for the African Super League final, second-leg between Sundowns and Wydad Casablanca.
When Amakhosi hosted Mamelodi Sundowns earlier this month, where they suffered a 5-1 hammering to the league champions, the booked Amapiano DJ duo Murumba Pitch and Kwaito icons, TKZee dazzled a sold-out FNB Stadium during March's Soweto Derby thriller.
Zee Nxumalo was also part of the half-time entertainment offering, showing her loyalties by rocking Orlando Pirates' Home kit on the day. It won't be a surprise if she follows a similar theme on Saturday.
