From Kaizer Chiefs to Amapiano

Young artist Toss, real name, Pholoso Masombuka sat down with radio personality, hip-hop DJ and podcast host Ms Cosmo to chat about his burgeoning music career and his days as a baller.

The Amapiano hitmaker revealed that he was a striker in Amakhosi's development system and was given the name "Toss" in his hometown Tsakane due to his goal scoring prowess.

Judging by his physique, many of his fans have commented on his "soccer player" body and his fitness on-stage that's probably drawn from his endurance on the football pitch.

Chiefs parted ways with Toss during his days in their academy and he explained to Ms Cosmo why things didn't work out for him as a Glamour Boy.

"I misbehaved at a tournament," says Toss who confessed that he bought alcohol to celebrate a win.

"We had just won a match and I scored a hat-trick," he added, and explained that he was joined by teammates on his drinking mission before deciding to take it back to the team hotel, where they were caught by a coach.
