Yesterday, we brought you five of the most iconic football boots to have ever been made. Today, we bring you the best five in our list of the top ten.
5. Adidas AdiPURE
In 2008, Adidas reverted to a retro-style boot, which had a similar concept design to their classic 1978 World Cup boot. It was surely one of the best looking boots and was "100% breathable", providing great comfort. This is why the likes of Frank Lampard, Kaka and Robin van Persie all decided to wear them.
4. Nike Mercurial
If you haven't heard of Nike's Mercurial boots, you've probably been living under a rock since the classic pair of boots were released in 2008. The lightest boots ever made, composed of carbon fibre material, were promoted to epic status after they were seen on the feet of Cristiano Ronaldo
3. Puma King
Pele's boots… What more can one say? Released in 1970, the Puma Kings are still being produced to this day, and their inception sparked the long-running Adidas/Puma rivalry.
2. Adidas Predators
Another pair of boots that everybody seemed to have when growing up were these beauties that have defined the evolution of football boots. They were the first to introduce fins, which increased power and spin - a design that is used in all boots to this day. The red detail and other aesthetic features also made it a stylish pair of boots that attracted the attention of footballers all over the globe.
1. Adidas Copa Mundial
To this day, the 1979 design of the Adidas Copa Mundials has made it the highest selling boot of all time. Testament to the timelessness of the design, it continues to be sold today. To describe the grand nature of how iconic this particular boots was, and continues to be, would be an impossible task. It is for this reason that we've named it number one on our list.
