The story
After Thapelo Morena filled in at goalkeeper after the Denis Onyango became Downs' ninth dismissal of the season against Gallants last week, the Bafana star has received mass praise and new goalkeeper gloves!
Morena stepped in goal for ten minutes in Sundowns' 3-1 win over Bahlabane Ba Ntwa last Wednesday, prompting his sponsor PUMA to send him a personalised pair of gloves.
After all, PUMA headed a request made by the player after the Gallants match, where he posted a snap of him making a regulation save with the caption reading, "I may need Ultra Ultimate Gloves to match my boots? You got me?"
Over the weekend, Morena took to IG to showcase his new gloves that match with his PUMA Ultra boots, with the Bafana flyer testing them out in his backyard!
Morena's young daughters took aim the tiny goalposts with the 31-year-old in goal, dressed in his full Sundowns home kit and gloves.
