Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba posted an emotional tribute to his late father on Instagram on Wednesday.
The player's dad, Fassou Antoine Pogba, passed away last week Friday at the age of 79 after being treated for a long-term illness.
For those wondering why the world's most expensive player was missing for the club's games against Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton, it was because manager Jose Mourinho gave him time off to grieve.
In the caption of the video Pogba posted, the midfielder thanked the staff who looked after his father at the American Hospital of Paris and the Christie Clinic in Manchester.
The Frenchman is expected to return to his club for their UEFA Europa League final against Ajax Amsterdam on 24 May.
Do you think this sad event will spur Pogba on in the UEL final?
