The story
The Happy People are in for a fashionable treat with the Soweto giants partnering with a local brand to release a collection of knitted Pirates jerseys.
Old School specialise in designing "SA Supporters Jerseys" and have their own iterations of rugby jerseys for the Sharks, Stormers, Blue Bulls, Lions and the Springboks, with the Buccaneers being their first football-focused project.
The Old School Bucs jersey comes in long sleeve with a white collar and matching sleeve cuffs and displays the club name on the front of it, below the vintage Pirates logo and famous number 10.
This design is reminiscent of Orlando Pirates' jerseys from the 1970's when the legendary Jomo Sono was donning the iconic 10 for the club.
The Old School Pirates supporters knitted jersey will set fans back R2 499 online. Here's a look at Pirates legends, Teboho Moloi, Steve Lekoelea and Lucky Lekgwathi modelling the vintage-inspired shirts:
#WearHistory "Heroes are remembered, but Legends never die. "Once and Always."
