The story
The Buccaneers launched their official Home and Away jersey for the 24/25 season from adidas, which is as an ode to James Sofasonke Mpanza, the "Father of Soweto", was instrumental in forming Orlando Pirates in 1937.
In behind the scenes footage shared by the Buccaneers' social media team from their Home and Away jersey team shoot, defender Sandile Mthethwa went around the room to ask his teammates about their views on the new Home kit.
Mthethwa briefly interviewed goalkeepers Melusi Buthelezi, Sipho Chaine, defender Thapelo Xoki and new midfield recruit, Selaelo Rasebotja, to hear their opinions and also shared his own verdict on the Home kit.
The outgoing Mthethwa introduced himself to the camera before interviewing his teammates, but before doing so, he gave his verdict on the Home strip, saying: "Let's see what the gents have to say about the new kit because I approve of it, I approve."
"To be honest, it's a beautiful kit, it really is. I love it, I need to make sure to get some for my family before they run out," said Buthelezi, who was wearing the new light blue goalkeeper kit.
"It's a really nice kit, you see this one? It's giving me '95 vibes," says Thapelo Xoki, insinuating that Bucs' new Home kit is made for major CAF Champions League fixtures.
