Fans were surprised when Messi went blonde, as the superstar is not usually the flashy type.
The 29-year-old recently explained why he decided to change his hair colour, admitting he wanted a clean start – which could've perhaps been inspired after Argentina's 2016 Copa America loss.
"One particularly tough day I dyed my hair, I had to start again from scratch. I said to myself: 'I have to make a clean break and start over," revealed Messi in an interview with famous comedian Mingo on Telefe's 'Polemica en el bar'.
