The story
As one of many mercurial PSL talents that failed to realise their potential, Masibusane Zongo is left with the "what could have been" tag attached to him.
Zongo was known for his fleet-footed skills and blistering pace but despite the bags of talent and potential, his off-field disciplinary issues got the best of him.
The 34-year-old former Chilli Boys midfielder came through the ranks at the University of Pretoria (TUKS) and SuperSport United. He went on to represent now defunct clubs, Bidvest Wits and Platinum Stars before fading into obscurity.
Zongo made a startling revelation about his partying days at Chippa and detailed an intense incident on the upcoming episode of the "Trap and Pass" podcast.
He recounted a night out with his former teammate, Orlando Pirates legend, Mbulelo Old John Mabizela. Zongo recalled how they drove to the University of Western Cape to meet up with a group of girls. The former SuperSport United prospect later revealed how one of them accused him of sexual assault.
