The story
Just days before the blockbuster encounter between pace setters, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, veteran attacker Gaston Sirino hosted both sets of players for his birthday lunch.
The Uruguayan turned 34 on Saturday, 22 February, and appeared to have celebrated the day with his loved ones and closest colleagues.
The celebration was hosted at Sirino's residence, with his wife, Melanie taking to Instagram to share pictures and videos of the birthday decorations and the guests in attendance seated at a table together.
For Amakhosi, youngsters Rushwin Dortley, Mduduzi Shabalala, and Mfundo Vilakazi joined teammates Bruce Bvuma, Samkelo Zwane, Thabo Cele, Edmilson Dove, Inacio Miguel, and Yusuf Maart were spotted at the gathering.
In terms of his ex-Sundowns teammates, Marcelo Allende, Siphelele Mkhulise, Aubrey Modiba, Arthur Sales, and Lucas Ribeiro Costa were seen mingling with their upcoming opponents.
Sirino will hope to play a part when Amakhosi and Masandawana meet at a sold-out Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, with the match set to kick-off at 15:30.
