Gareth Bale might be behind Cristiano Ronaldo in the queue to take Real Madrid free-kicks, but he is still pretty good when it comes to striking the ball.
The Welsh wizard has perfected the latest set-piece technique known as the 'knuckleball', with which he has scored goals for Tottenham and Los Blancos.
It's a free-kick method that Bale's Portuguese teammate, Ronaldo, also uses, with the idea being to get the ball to spin and move in the air that deceives the goalkeeper.
Bale took time out from Real Madrid training recently to film a video with adidas explaining how to hit the perfect 'knuckleball'.
The ex Tottenham star was quoted saying: "You want to run up and hit it as flat as you can, with a bit of top spin to get it up and over the wall.
"Hopefully the air moves the ball and it deceives the keeper a bit. You need to hit it with the thickest part of your foot, but not too hard. Let the ball move with the wind instead of it going too quickly."
Who hits it better Gareth Bale or Cr7?
