As mentioned, tattoos have become part and parcel of many footballers lives, as they use inkwork as part of their various looks or personas.
Modern Day Ink Stars
In the modern game today, stars such as Memphis Depay, Sergio Ramos and Neymar are deemed to be some of the most heavily inked players in Europe. In South Africa, ballers such as Thembinkosi Lorch, Khama Billiat and Keagan Buchanan often hit up their tattoo artists.
More recently, ex-Chiefs star George Lebese was one of the latest footballers to get inked, as he showcased his Eagle leg tatt on his Instagram account.
Inspired Ink
That being said, Amakhosi legend Reneilwe Letsholonayne took to his IG handle this week, where he too, showed off massive leg tattoos.
The one tattoo depicts a hand holding an hourglass morphed into a heart, while he had three scriptures inked as the second one.
