The story
On Saturday, PUMA and Mamelodi Sundowns launched the HOPE KIT as their alternative kit for the 2024/25 season.
The kit was unveiled on National Children's Day, with players Thapelo Morena, Teboho Mokoena, Marcelo Allende, Lucas Ribeiro Costa, and Mothobi Mvala, modelling the new strip with child models.
They were joined at Loftus Versfeld by Ladies players Cimone Sauls and Lehlogonolo Mashigo in launching the kit that certifies the club's commitment to every child's wellbeing.
The Kit, which features a Mamelodi Sundowns badge updated to a rubberised version of, "Sky is the limit" wording on the back of the neckline, sees PUMA use a similar design template that's seen on Downs' yellow Home and Blue Away jerseys.
Sundowns' HOPE Kit uses a plain white base with blue details and comes with the same collar and cuffs that are displayed on the Home and Away tops, as well as the singular strips on the sides.
"The HOPE KIT is an opportunity for the Club, fans and PUMA to join hands and celebrate South Africa's children," said PUMA SA's Marketing Director, Brett Bellinger.
"The kit has been unveiled on National Children's Day to create awareness on children's rights and well-being, with the white and blue kit symbolising youth, innocence, and positivity," added Bellinger.

The last white Sundowns kit came back during the 2019/20 season when PUMA designed two kits for Masandawana that were inspired by the African sun.
Using the same template as the yellow Home kit, the 2019/20 Away jersey was predominately white and stood out for its tonal all-over graphic print that appeared in a light grey, while the sponsor logos were displayed in green.
