Rulani Mokwena has reportedly been impressed with Cassius Mailula and intends to bring him back into a starting role ahead of a major cup clash.

The 22-year-old seems to have rekindled his form since reuniting with his former head coach in Casablanca.
The Bafana Bafana attacker completed a loan move to Wydad Athletic Club at the start of the campaign, and while he had a stuttering start to life in North Africa, he has now proven to be a pivotal member of the record Moroccan champions' squad.
While for most of the season, the Ga Molepo native has been a starter under Mokwena, in recent weeks he has been utilised as a substitute. In the last four matches — Botola Pro Inwi, Moroccan Excellence Cup, and Throne Cup — Mailula has started from the bench. Rulani revealed in his last post-match press conference that Mailula is being sparingly used to ensure that he remains injury free.
However, according to Kooora, the Wydad boss is ready to start the former Mamelodi Sundowns man.
It is understood that Mokwena has favoured Samuel Obeng over the South African international in recent matches, but the same report claims that he has been impressed with Mailula of late and wants to start him in their upcoming Throne Cup quarter-final match against Moghreb Tetouan.

It is also alleged that Wydad intends to buy Mailula on a permanent basis once the season concludes, such is the extent to which the chiefs in Casablanca have been impressed with his efforts.
