It seems that Ruben Amorim has become disillusioned with the Red Devils' striking options. In the past two transfer windows, the record English champions have spent a combined total of €116.4 million (R2.3 billion) on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee respectively, but neither of them have yet to set the Premier League alight with their performances.
Between them, they have scored only 14 goals in all competitions this season. The club's top goalscorer this campaign is Bruno Fernandes, who has netted a total of 16 goals, and while Amorim was unable to reinforce his striking department during the midseason, reports suggest he will target a new striker at the end of the 2024/25 season.
According to Sky Germany, the Lisboa native has four players on his transfer wishlist as far as strikers are concerned. Nigerian Victor Osimhen, Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt, Swedish sensation Viktor Gyokeres, and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko are the hitmen that the Mancunians could potentially lure to Old Trafford.
Links to the Super Eagles forward have intensified recently as his loan at Galatasaray nears its end. The Lagos native's parent club is Napoli, who are also rumoured to be interested in Hojlund, making a possible swap deal a possibility.
