Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has brought back Percy Tau into his squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Bafana will be in action for the first time in 2025 and they kickstart their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin. The team is set to assemble for camp on Sunday. Bafana will play Lesotho first in Polokwane on March 21 and then they will play Benin away from home four days later.

The senior national team is currently in second place in Group C, level on points with leaders Rwanda, and will be determined to collect maximum points in the upcoming matches to give themselves a shot at going to the top of the standings.
Tau was not part of the squad towards the end of 2024 while he was still with Egyptian giants Al Ahly, but a move to Qatar has helped in terms of him playing regularly and now making a return to the squad.
Broos has called up a strong 23-man squad for the clash, including Stellenbosch FC's Thabo Moloisane.
