The story
Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly forward, Percy Tau seems to be enjoying his time away from the spotlight in Qatar after visiting one of Doha's most picturesque tourist attractions.
Tau shared snaps of his visit to the street art-filled Mina District, shortly after he was included in Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos's 37-player provisional squad for this month's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
"The Lion of Judah" will hope to crack the nod for the final 23-man squad as Bafana will face Lesotho in Polokwane on 21 March and Benin in Côte d'Ivoire on 25 March, as part of their Group C qualifiers.
The Qatar SC baller, who's managed three assists in the league so far, cut a relaxed figure as he strolled around the Mina District, described as a transformed and vibrant tourist hub by Visit Qatar.
Tau soaked in the views that features pastel-coloured buildings used as canvases for local street art. The newly developed area includes the stunning Grand Terminal, where large cruise ships dock during the winter.
