The story
Bafana Bafana's highest capped goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune stunned on Instagram when sharing a clip of him wearing items from adidas.
Throughout his successful career at the Glamour Boys and the national men's senior team, Khune wore Nike boots, a rival of the famous three stripes in football.
Khune was wearing a set from the adidas' Originals Arsenal Terrace Icon collection for Studio88, an outfit that blends retro 80s style with modern comfort. He wore top and trackpants priced at R1 600 and R2 099 respectively.
The 37-year-old received plaudits from his wife, Sphelele, close friend and ex-teammate Lehlohonolo Majoro, and former Buccaneers Vincent Pule and Michael Morton for his adidas x Arsenal 'fit.
Morton commented, "You Look good in @adidasza @itukhune32," with Khune laughing at his message and further down in the comment section, he replied to a fan by writing, "I look good in Studio 88's 3 Stripes."
