Al-Ittihad have been active during their mid-season transfer window. The Libyan giants welcomed a host of prominent players from across Africa to reinforce their squad, spending massive money on the likes of Ditlhokwe from Kaizer Chiefs, Kahraba from Al Ahly, Tumisang Orebonye from AS FAR Rabat, Sidi Bouna Amar from Wydad Athletic Club, and the Moroccan duo of Mohamed Zrida and Nawfel Zerhouni from Raja Club Athletic.
Ditlhokwe was signed for a fee in the region of R15 milllion
All these players have been brought in for head coach Juan Carlos Garrido to utilise in order to elevate the team's chances of progressing to the next round of the Libyan Premier League, but so far, the Spanish tactician has struggled to get his charges firing on all cylinders.
The former Wydad boss was brought to Tripoli in January, and while he started fantastically, winning his first three league matches in charge, the 55-year-old has now seen a downturn in form, as Al-Ittihad are now on a four-match winless run.
According to Filkora, Garrido is now facing intense pressure from the club's chiefs, especially considering the amount of money spent during the mid-season window. This past weekend, the 18-time league champions needed a 99th-minute equaliser from Orebonye to salvage a draw against Swehly SC.

The Valencia native will need to turn around his side's form expeditiously so that the record Libyan Premier League champions do not fall too far adrift of the progression positions. They are currently three points off third place in Group B, the final promotion position.
