During the mid-season window, the England international joined the Villans after a breakdown in his relationship with new United boss Ruben Amorim.
A plethora of European outfits were rumoured to be interested in providing refuge for the Manchester native, with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and AS Monaco allegedly keen to sign the 27-year-old.
It is believed, however, that the attacker rejected those aforementioned offers in the hope of signing for Barcelona.
The Catalan giants have previously shown interest in the 60-capped international, and January presented a fresh opportunity to land the versatile attacker, but ultimately, it seems financial reasons prevented the signing from taking place.
Ultimately, Rashford decided to make the move to Villa Park. However, according to The Sun, he still wants to move to Catalonia and is hoping that his performances in Birmingham will show Barca that he is capable of contributing in a major way.
It is understood that Barca are still looking for a left winger, but with players like Luis Díaz and Rafael Leao said to be of interest, Rashford is hoping to throw his hat in the ring for consideration.
