Azola Tshobeni might have not been playing for Orlando Pirates so far but there could be a bright future for him at the club, according to insiders.
Tshobeni is back at the Buccaneers after spending the last three seasons playing in the second tier for JDR Stars on loan.

The 22-year-old made notable progress at JDR, featuring in over 70 appearances over a three-year period, and is rated highly by the club's boss and coach, Nditsheni Nemasisi.
For the 2024/25 season, Bucs decided to keep the midfielder, and while he has struggled to break into coach Jose Riveiro's matchday squads so far, indications from sources close to the club's dealings are that he remains in plans.
"Azola is in the plans at Pirates and it's only a matter of time before he gets his chance. His story should be likened to that of Thabiso Sesane, who after being sent on loan struggled for game time on his return but was eventually given a chance and did well. Pirates are planning for the future and these boys from development are an integral part of the club's plans. The club has big plans for Azola like with all the talented players from development," said the source.

Tshobeni already has a few appearances for the Bucs first team under his name, having made his debut as an 18-year-old in January 2021 under Josef Zinnbauer.
