American businessman John Textor has expressed an interest in becoming the majority stakeholder at Merseyside club Everton after placing an offer to purchase the outfit in June.
Textor, who co-owns Crystal Palace and Brazil-based team Botafogo, would reportedly have to sell his shares in the Eagles should he complete a takeover of the Toffees, and is believed to feel he will not be short of suitors.
According to The Sun, the billionaire businessman could look to include famous hip hop artist Jay-Z in his consortium to purchase Everton, who are currently at the bottom of the table.
Sean Dyche's side have lost all four of their league matches this season so far, conceding 13 goals.
Jay-Z, meanwhile, could reportedly be tempted to join Textor's team. The rapper boasts an incredible $2.5 billion (R44 billion) net worth and is the founder of Roc Nation Sports, a management company that represents high-profile athletes around the world.
Everton are currently owned by businessman Farhad Moshiri, who is understood to have been trying to sell the Toffees for some time now.
