Mamelodi Sundowns have been advised on what they could do with the talented Siyabonga Mabena as the champions are finalising preparations for the new season.
The Brazilians are preparing for the start of their campaign with a match in the MTN8 against Polokwane City at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday and a close source has advised that the League champions may need to consider sending Mabena on loan.

The talented 17-year-old, who is being touted for huge success in football, has had a good start in his professional career although sources feel his progress could be fast-tracked with regular game time.
Mabena was promoted to the Sundowns senior team in the 2022/23 season and has so far made 17 appearances in all competitions and has scored one goal.
The youngster is facing tough competition from the likes of Themba Zwane, Marcelo Allende, Lucas Ribeiro and Thembinkosi Lorch, among others for a position in Downs' attack, and a close source believes that a loan move would work well for him.
"Siyabonga Mabena is a top talent and there's no doubt about that, and he is one for the future. Obviously, Sundowns have their plans about him, and they know what they are doing, but I would suggest that the boy be loaned for more game time if there is no plan for him to play regularly in the first team this season," said the source.

"The boy is still young and with the talent that he has in abundance, he's got all the time to be successful in his career. I believe there is no rush from Sundowns to throw him in the deep end and that's why they have been introducing him gradually. I believe loaning the player could work well for both parties as that would mean more game time for him and I would suggest that the club should consider doing that," the source said.
