Stellenbosch FC defender Ismael Toure is still an option for Kaizer Chiefs in their pursuit of players to add to the squad, the Siya crew has been reliably informed.
On the weekend, Chiefs confirmed two signings in former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Gaston Sirino and ex-Orlando Pirates defender Bongani Sam to strengthen the squad.

As part of the plans to assemble a strong team for coach Nasreddine Nabi, Chiefs are understood to be still on the lookout for more quality players to potentially add to the team, with Toure believed to be one of the targets, according to sources.
Having finished the 2023/24 season on a high after amassing 34 appearances across all competitions including three in the Carling Knockout and a goal in the final as the Stellenbosch went on to win the competition, Toure has started the new campaign on a good note.

The towering Ivorian produced a good performance as Stellies defeated TS Galaxy 3-1 in the MTN8 at Danie Craven Stadium on Sunday to get their season underway.
"Ismael Toure is still a transfer target of a few clubs in the league and Kaizer Chiefs are one of the teams that have shown interest. He is a player who has been on the radar of big clubs such as Pirates and (Mamelodi) Sundowns. If all goes according to plan, you can expect talks from Chiefs for the defender although Stellenbosch have made their intentions clear about not wanting to lose their best players in this transfer window," said the Siya source.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
