The story
Mzansi's number one goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams has certainly earned his scenic off-season holiday, following a stellar individual campaign for both club and country.
The 32-year-old shot stopper played 46 matches in his sophomore season for the Brazilians, conceding just 19 goals and kept 30 clean sheets.
He was a key figure in Sundowns' march to their seventh league title in-a-row and their African Super League trophy win early in the 2023/24 season.
For the national team, his efforts at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations saw him walk away with the Best Goalkeeper award, steering Bafana to a commendable third-place finish in the Ivory Coast.
Williams was deservedly awarded the PSL Footballer of the Year, becoming just the third keeper to do so. To celebrate a memorable campaign on all fronts, "Ronza" and his significant other enjoyed a blissful stay in Mauritius.
Sundowns utility player Lebohang Maboe also vacationed in Mauritius, with Williams staying seaside with his fedora and embarking on some serene boat rides.
Here's a look at Ronwen in Mauritius, with the star taking to Instagram to share a series of holiday snaps and a surprise video of him bowling in cricket nets:
