The story
Former Orlando Pirates striker Justin Shonga sadly passed away after a brief illness, as confirmed by the Football Association of Zambia.
It was revealed on Sunday evening that Shonga died in a hospital in Lusaka. During his career, he made 77 appearances for the Sea Robbers, scoring 16 goals and making 16 assists
His last professional stint was with Najran in the Saudi second division. Shonga was a familiar face in South African football, having also played for Sekhukhune United, Cape Town City, and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) following his time with Pirates.

Shonga also represented Chipolopolo on 15 occasions, finding the net seven times. The 27-year-old's untimely passing has sent shock waves among those in the South African football fraternity.
