The dates for the opening week of the 2024/25 season appear to have been communicated as clubs are gearing up for what is expected to be another exciting campaign.
All eyes will be on champions Mamelodi Sundowns to see if they will continue with their dominance, having won the title a record seven times in a row, while the likes of Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC will be expected to compete to oust them.

With their pre-season preparations of the highest class, Kaizer Chiefs appear to be serious about competing, with the team set to announce a new coach in highly rated Tunisian technician Nasreddine Nabi, as well as a new look technical team.
Meanwhile, there will be changes in the participation on member clubs after Marumo Gallants confirmed their return to the top flight following their successful purchase of Moroka Swallows' top flight status to join Magesi FC who have been promoted as the new clubs in the league.
Cape Town Spurs will be back in the second tier after only one season in the top flight following their relegation last season, while Richards Bay FC managed to save their multimillion-rand status through the PSL's promotional/relegation playoffs.
According to information gathered by the Siya crew, the DStv Premiership season is likely to start on the weekend of 2-4 August, as per communication to member clubs, while the Motsepe Foundation Championship is expected to commence from 24-25 August.

The DStv Diski Challenge has been scheduled to start on the weekend of 31 August to 1 September.
With regards to the transfer window, the first registration window will officially open on July 1 and close on September 20, while the summer transfer window will open on January 1 and close on January 28.
