The story
Bafana Bafana put up a decent performance against Nigeria away from home as a sublime Themba Zwane effort saw them walk away with a point in a 1-1 draw.
South Africa remain fourth in their FIFA World Cup Qualifying group, with Nigeria one place below in fifth place. One of the brightest sparks for Bafana in Uyo was Mamelodi Sundowns star Khuliso Mudau.
The tireless right back came up against in-form Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman, who recently helped his club with their first ever European crown by scoring a scintilating hattrick in Europa League Final against Bayer Leverkusen.
As one of the best defensive full-backs on the continent, "Sailor" made it a rather difficult evening for Lookman, who struggled to gain momentum in Friday evening's clash.
Mudau became a trending topic on Twitter/X after the full-time whistle on Friday, with many avid football fans here in Mzansi hailing him as the best right-back in Africa.
