The story
It hasn't been the easiest of campaigns for Royal AM and Andile Mpisane, with the KwaZulu Natal-based club finding themselves hovering just above the relegation/playoff position.
Royal AM head coach mentioned to SABC Sport that their slump in the league is down to their ongoing transfer ban from FIFA and the lack of depth in his squad among other struggles.
Despite Thwihli Thwahla's limited squad this season, the club chairman has only been given two opportunities to impress John Maduka, which came against KZN derby losses to AmaZulu and Golden Arrows.
Adamant to prove naysayers wrong about his fitness and conditioning, Mpisane has been working with Vusi "Mavreka" Hlabangwana, a popular, private strength and conditioning trainer that's worked with the PSL's biggest names.
Mpisane re-posted a video of him doing intensive leg-day workouts at the gym with Mavreka, captioning it: "2024/25 season, I'm coming."
